Award-winning design studio, Unit3, has announced they’re working on a major new project to convert parts of The Florence Institute.

As the oldest known surviving Boys Club, The Florrie completed major renovations and re-opened to the public in 2012. The Grade II listed, Victorian building has been at the heart of the L8 community for over 130 years. It is a social, cultural, educational & charitable hub for the people of South Liverpool. The Florence Institute Trust is a registered charity managing the community arts and heritage venue.

With plans to convert the basement into a specialised Youth Hub, Unit3 is working as Architect and Principal Designer for the project. The proposed design for the new Youth Hub includes leisure spaces, a radio room, study room, and cinema / lecture hall.

Unit3 Design is based in a studio at 22 Jordan Street in the centre of our thriving Baltic Triangle community. You can find out more about their current projects here.
