"When I was looking for support in producing a case study on new industries in old industrial areas for our annual report on the historic environment – Heritage Counts 2018 - Baltic Creative was the obvious place to turn to. Chris was really helpful, generously giving me his time and sharing valuable insight and understanding of what Baltic Creative were doing and on the history and development of the area. Often to get the best information you should go to those who are directly involved in making things happen. Chris and Baltic Creative have their finger on the pulse of one of the best and most exciting parts of Liverpool I know our central team were impressed with the example of the regeneration in the Baltic Triangle and who could fail to be?” Karl Creaser, strategic engagement adviser, Historic England

"From my work around the world I know that Baltic Creative has international recognition and respect for its work supporting the creative and digital sector in the UK. I act as an informal ambassador for Baltic Creative wherever I go, and it’s also a pleasure to work overseas with Mark Lawler and witness the positive reactions from people of different nationalities as he explains in detail Baltic Creative’s achievements so far and its ambitions for even greater success in the future.” David Parrish, Creative Industries Consultant

We have a track record of delivering bottom-up support to emerging activity. In the case of our spaces in the Baltic Triangle, this is within the creative and digital industries where we have supported over 180 businesses over nine years. This support extends from our spaces themselves into the communities where we are based. Since 2012 we have been part of the wider Baltic Triangle stakeholder’s group, helping to shape the area and the vision for our community; to protect key spaces and community assets; and support the inclusive growth of our area. We have been a conduit for training and education programmes that support the growth of creative and digital industries, whilst delivering social value by reinvesting our profits to further support the growth of our sectors. Over the years we have shared this knowledge with local authorities, social landlords and developers, to support new activity in the city and further afield. This work extends from feasibility studies and building and site surveys, though to creative inclusive models (CICs) to help protect spaces and support the inclusive growth of an area whilst delivering sustainable revenues. Please contact Mark Lawler on 0151 708 2840 to discuss how Baltic Creative can help you to develop new workspaces in areas for emerging activity and community development.

“The guidance, connections and general support given to Fabric District & The Tapestry by Mark and the team at Baltic Creative has been hugely important. From very early stage discussions of a few stakeholders to the forming of our area CIC they have been willing to share best practice and guidance to allow a new LCR creative cluster to form, with its own character complimenting that of Baltic.” Jason Abbott, chair Fabric District CIC

“Baltic Creative has supported Make CIC over a number of years. In particular this has been in relation to supporting Make CIC with property questions; management of premises; process and policies. Using the skills and knowledge of Baltic Creative has been a key part of our ability to make progress and to do so safely and sustainably.” Liam Kelly, chief executive officer, Make CIC
