Mark Fenn, glass artist and owner of Liverpool Bay Hotshop, is currently taking part in an online exhibition with the Contemporary Glass Society (CGS).
‘Small but Magnificent’ was launched on 3rd July 2023. It features sixty-one CGS member artists, including Mark. This online selling exhibition looked for “little pieces of gorgeousness” no bigger than 15cm in any aspect. They could be jewellery, beads, bowls, or other small artworks.
Mark’s piece is a honey-infused small white hexagonal vase. Following his appearance on BBC’s Make it at Market, Mark was presented with two hexagonal moulds which he has now used to create this vase. Mark said:
[The vase] is made with the infusion raw honey gathered from my native Welsh black bees and finished by hand in my studio in Liverpool.
Mark’s piece is on-sale via the CGS website, along with all other pieces in the exhibition.
