Last year, FACTCO and Baltic Creative CIC embarked on the challenge to improve our business community’s connectivity. Working together we’ve ensured each business has the network they need to flourish, utilising FACTCO’s knowledge on full-fibre technology as well as the access to funding that they have through DCMS (Department of Culture Media and Sport)
The network which FACTCO has delivered to our community of businesses has the capability to be upgraded to a 10Gbps upload and download full-fibre broadband connection, lighting the way for the city’s connectivity with a fully funded optical fibre connection.

The network that was previously available across the Baltic Creative CIC estate had its limitations which was an issue that the team at Baltic Creative CIC wanted to solve.

FACTCO is one of the UK’s leading registered suppliers of The Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme, and have supported over 900 businesses, allowing them to fund projects and residential areas that would otherwise have been at the bottom of the list; since the national roll out of full fibre broadband had begun in 2010.
