Baltic Creative CIC is delighted to announce a new partnership with 92 Degrees Coffee to deliver a brand new café space in the heart of the Baltic Triangle. The new café venture, ‘The Baltic Roastery’, will take over the recently vacated café space at Baltic Creative Campus on Jamaica Street.
92 Degrees have been successfully trading for the past few years at their Hardman Street location in the Georgian Quarter, where they have established themselves as a firm favourite amongst Liverpool coffee drinkers thanks to their enthusiasm for roasting, brewing and crafting exceptional coffee.
Baltic Creative received dozens of enquiries for the café space and decided to partner with 92 Degrees due to their proven track record, understanding of the local business community and knowledge of Liverpool’s Creative & Digital sector.
Mark Lawler, Managing Director of Baltic Creative CIC said, “What impressed us the most about 92 Degrees Coffee was their determination to work with our community to develop their menu and the café. The pop-up cafe launching 11th June will ensure we are all fed and watered whilst they develop the main cafe space, appoint their operational team and develop their menu. It’s so exciting to have a fresh new start here at the Campus and we look forward to the launch of ‘The Baltic Roastery’ mid / late July 2018!”
Jack Brewitt, Co-Founder of 92 Degrees Coffee said, “Whilst we are obviously sad to see the closure of a fellow independent business and favourite place within the Baltic community and Liverpool as a whole, we are also excited to take on the opportunity we have been presented. We are working closely with Baltic Creative to ensure that the site does not remain inactive any longer than absolutely necessary and we have been in contact with the staff of the former operator to ensure that they are given the opportunity to work with us should they wish to.”
92 Degrees intend to launch ‘The Baltic Roastery’ in two phases as outlined below:
Phase One: ‘Pop-up’
An initial ‘Pop-up’ style coffee shop will open Monday 11th June, 8:00am – 6:00pm, offering espresso and filter coffee, complemented by a choice selection of fresh made good to go food. Everything served at the ‘Pop-up’ will come in environmentally friendly biodegradable cups and plates. This ‘Pop-up’ style coffee shop will operate no longer than 6 weeks and in the background the team will be working on Phase Two.
Phase Two: ‘The Baltic Roastery’
92 Degrees will be bringing their wholesale and retail roasting operation to the new site which will include a full coffee shop and retail offering with space to sit and meet friends, work, relax and unwind – all whilst offering their full range of hot and cold beverages to be enjoyed either in the café or to take away. This will be complemented by a range of fresh made good to go food options and backed up by a made to order brunch and evening menu.
92 Degrees will be working closely with Baltic Creative and the wider community to ensure that any events, present or future, can be accommodated and catered for within the space they are creating whilst also developing their own activities and events schedule for the location.
92 Degrees anticipate the opening date of ‘The Baltic Roastery’ to be no later Monday 23rd July 2018.
