We’re taking the Baltic Brew online via the video platform Zoom! Baltic Brew is our regular meet-up for our tenants.

We’ve been updating you regularly regarding changes to our operations and the support that’s available to you during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we wanted to take the opportunity to update you face to face (albeit online!) and to bring together some sector-specific support that’s available to you from our community and network.

For this Baltic Brew, we’ll be joined by fellow tenant David Parish (Independent Creative Industry Business Advisor), Richard Smith (Business Engagement Manager at Liverpool Chamber of Commerce) and Robyn McGlinchey (Pilates Instructor at Balance and Movement)

The programme is as follows.

10:30am – Management Team Update

  • Mark Lawler (Managing Director) – Baltic Creative CIC’s response to COVID- 19, plus plans moving forward.
  • Chris Green (Operations Manager) – Business rates and grants
  • Alison James (Marketing and Events Officer) – Online events programme and marketing support for businesses and artists.

10:50am – David Parrish on Cashflow Planning

Fellow tenant Dave Parrish is a creative industries business adviser, speaker, trainer and author working in Liverpool and around the world.

Dave will give advise on Cash Flow Planning and will show tenants how to set up and use a cash flow projection spreadsheet. Using materials developed for his finance workshops, Dave will share a cash flow forecast template and talk you through some points about how to use it.

Following the workshop, Dave is available for one-to-one advice sessions online about financial planning and other business issues. For further information about his experience and expertise, see his website: www.davidparrish.com

11:10am – Richard Smith on Liverpool Chamber of Commerce support.

Richard Smith (Business Engagement Manager) will give an update on how Liverpool Chamber has responded to the COVID-19 crisis so far whilst providing information on how Baltic Creative tenants can access Liverpool Chamber’s support. Rich will answer some of the frequently asked questions coming from his network and will share some good news stories from the Liverpool City Region business community.

Liverpool Chamber is the largest and most diverse network of businesses in the Liverpool City Region. Through peer to peer engagement, the Chamber connects businesses with transactional business opportunities, inspiring voices, the thought-leaders shaping the future world of work and the opinion formers shaping our city.

Baltic Creative is a strategic partner of Liverpool Chamber, and as such, our community has access to their affiliate membership which offers a variety of support.

11:20am – Robyn McGlinchey from Balance and Movement

Fellow tenant Robyn McGlinchey is a Pilates instructor based over at Northern Lights. Robyn will introduce herself and will say a few words about how you can get involved with some of her sessions through the Baltic Creative wellbeing programme.

11:30am – Discussion + Q & A

12:00pm – Close in time for lunch

We hope to host regular sessions like this for our tenants during the coming weeks. If you are able to offer support to the community during this time and wish to have a slot during one of these sessions, please get in touch.

These sessions are exclusive to Baltic Creative tenants only.
