Lila Tamea

Lila Tamea is the former President (2020-2021) and Vice President Education (2019-2020) at Liverpool John Moores Students’ Union.

In her time at JMSU, Lila was particularly involved in initiatives surrounding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion; more specifically race equality, and as President, introduced the University’s Attainment Gap Council, designed to spearhead initiatives to close the Black Attainment Gap at LJMU.

Lila is currently studying a Masters in Education at LJMU and continues to be involved in work around access and participation as a Student Community Outreach Officer within LJMU Student Recruitment and Admissions. She has also been appointed to the Office for Students’ Student Panel, where she will have the opportunity to influence Higher Education policy on a national level.
